Gradually reduced energy consumption through measures

Resource efficiency is one of the focus areas where Stendörren has the greatest opportunity to reduce their climate impact, primarily by minimizing energy use in existing stock. During 2022, Stendörren’s proactive work resulted in a continued reduction in the properties’ energy consumption and the share of fossil-free energy increasing further. In 2022, the energy intensity decreased to 88 kWh/sqm (112), a reduction of approximately 21 percent.

At Stendörren, the administration has monthly follow-ups on the activities carried out in each property to reduce energy consumption. The follow-ups involve both technical and commercial management. Stendörren’s own technicians make regular rounds, both physical and digital, where they optimize the properties’ control and monitoring systems to minimize unnecessary energy consumption.

Stendörren’s goal is to purchase 100 percent fossil-free energy by 2030.
Stendörren has also chosen to certify their existing properties according to BREEAM In-Use. During 2022, the certification work continued and the company has thus certified a total of approximately 42 percent of the surface area in the portfolio and maintained a rate of approximately 20 percent surface area (sqm) per year. Stendörren’s long-term goal is to certify at least 70 percent of the lettable area by 2025.
